7 Ways To Cheat At Poker
CHeating at poker is as old as the game. There are a number of methods to cheat at poker from very simple to very complex ways. There isn’t much harm in knowing a few ways to cheat at the game, even if it is only to recognise when someone is cheating you.
1.How A Child Would Do It There isnt much technique or expertise required in ‘peeking’ but if you can divert the other players’ attention and take a look at your opponents cards. Its quite difficult to prove you were intentionally cheating but don’t do it too often or you will be caught!
2.How the Misers Do It A miser never parts with his money, and when he plays poker he is sure to subtly avoid paying house fees while attempting to short the pot. (He may even use adhesives under the table or simply try kidnapping a chip in his palm) Again, it always works the first time but keep it up long enough and you’ll be banned for life. (Even by your friends!)
3.How the Conjurors Do It A conjuror is an expert at rigging cards and may replace a bad hand with another hand hidden elsewhere.
4.How the Unscrupulous Dealers Do It Unscrupulous dealers save their favorite cards (culling) and place those cars on the bottom of te deck, or second from bottom. They sometimes use their index finger to peak at cards before they deal them. Its amusing to see how closely players watch a ’self appointed’ dealer!
5.How the Manipulative Dealers Do It There are crooked dealers then there are criminally ingenious dealers. Any good cheat knows that he or she won’t win much money (nor appear inconspicuous) if he has all the best hands while everyone else has nothing. However, ensuring that a second player unknowingly gets an artificial strong hand will guarantee that the pot continues to boil.
6.How the Card Makers Do It Bringing your own deck of cards to play with is a low blow, since you can use your own cold deck, a set of prearranged cards (such as every fourth card dealt will form a winning hand) or even specially marked cards that tell you the value of the card from the back. (Common markings include a scratch, a circle or a sun discoloration)
7.How the Team Mates Do It Collusion is a great way to ensure that you win at poker. By working with a team mate, you can raise and re-raise the pot, drawing other players into the game to encourage them to bet more. Also you can use subtle and strategic signalling to assist each other
